Zeppelin Beer Stein. This beautifully hand-painted stein features a Zeppelin Airship in 3D wrap-around design facing the stein's front. An Imperial German Eagle is displayed below. The pewter lid and mountings feature a Zeppelin at the thumblift mount. The domed pewter lid is adorned with intricate relief banding, depicting horse-drawn Beer Wagons and Edelweiss flowers. 
A Zeppelin is a type of rigid airship named after the German inventor, Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin, who pioneered rigid airship development at the beginning of the 20th century.
Count von Zeppelin's notions were first formulated in 1874 and developed in detail in 1893.
