1/2 liter, 10" tall.  Ulm, Germany Stein.  This stein's traditional look is done in richly detailed and colorfully hand-painted relief design. The famed shoreline view of Ulm on the Danube River is featured on the center front. The Ulm Minster Church is depicted in the scene with it's towering steeple, the highest in the world (529.95 ft. high and 768 steps).  Heavy relief scrolling frames the cityscape. The side panels feature castle scenes and alpine structures typical of Ulm, with snow-capped Alps, among scrolling and Edelweiss flower framing. Pewter mountings and thumblift support the multi-domed pewter lid that is adorned with intricate relief decorative banding.
