1/2 liter, 9 1/2" tall. Deutschland Beer Stein. This traditional-style stein's tapered body features a transfer German Imperial Eagle with flags in richly-colorful detail. The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army.  The turned pewter lid is adorned with intricate relief design banding.
