Imperial German Eagle-City Coats of Arms Stein.  This hand-painted, bone rustical stein features the Coats of Arms of select major cities of Germany on the center front, with the Imperial German Eagle as the background. The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army. The cities featured are Munich, Frankfurt, Rothenburg, Nuremberg, Rudesheim, Cologne, Berlin, and Heidelberg. The side panels display banner German Flags in richly colorful design. The domed pewter lid is adorned with intricate relief banding.
