4/10 Liter. 9 1/2" tall. Germany Highlights Beer Stein. This rustical stein, with heavy relief, depicts many architectural and landscape highlights of the country. The center front features the Imperial German Eagle above the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, and crossed German flags. The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army. One side panel displays the architecture of Nuremberg, Munich, Bamberg, Regensburg, Rothenburg, St. Goar, and the Neuschwanstein Castle. The opposite side features Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Cologne, Heidelberg, Kaiserslautern, and the Black Forest. The sixteen State Coats of Arms are displayed in banding at the base. The domed pewter lid is adorned with richly detailed decorative banding.
Hand-painted and hand-crafted in Germany by King-Werk.
