3/4 liter stein 11 inches in height Architecture of Germany Stein. This beautifully hand-painted, rustical heavy-relief stein features the Imperial German Eagle on the center front.  The side panels display architectural highlights of major cities throughout the country including: Rothenburg, Heidelberg, Munich, Lorelei on the Rhine, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, and the Neuschwanstein Castle. The base rim features banners inscribed with "Germany" in French, German, and English. The handle displays brightly colored German banner flags. The pewter mountings and thumblift support a domed pewter lid adorned with intricate-relief decorative banding. 

The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army.
