1/2 liter, 10" tall. Imperial German Eagle Beer Stein. This stein presents a hand-painted, relief body with a pedestal base. The pewter Imperial German Eagle on the center front is also hand-painted.

The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army. Side scenes feature the architectural highlights of Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, Rothenburg o.d. and Neuschwanstein Castle with gold accents and banding. The domed pewter lid is decorated with Edelweiss flowers and a horse-drawn Beer Wagon.
