1/2 liter, 9" tall. Imperial German Eagle Beer Stein. This tapered body stein features an intricately detailed pewter Imperial German Eagle, framed with gold accents, on a polished black background. The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army. The domed pewter lid is banded with decorative horse-drawn Beer Wagon and Edelweiss flowers.
