1/2 liter, 9" tall. Imperial German Eagle Stein. This stein's black tapered body features a pewter Imperial German Eagle at the center front. The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army.The sides display the German National Colors with decorative vining. The domed pewter lid has detailed relief banding depicting Edelweiss flowers and horse-drawn beer wagons.
