5.2 Liters. 18" Tall.  Mettlach #2205 Beer Stein.  Circa 1892. Hand-painted, etched body in a hunting theme, "Diana After the Hunt". Body is highly detailed and colorful with some heavy enameling.   Decorative pedestal base. Handle depicts an oak vine with the branches spreading around the upper and lower body.  Pewter mountings with a hand-painted, etched squirrel finial insert. Pewter Wild Boar thumblift. No damage or wear. Made in Germany by Villeroy & Boch.
