1/2 Liter. 8" Tall.  Mettlach #2373 Beer Stein.  Circa 1890. Hand-painted, etched body depicts scenes from St. Augustine, Florida.  One side features Fort Marion and the other side pictures the Old City Gate.  Center front displays the Spanish Coat of Arms. This stein has excellent detail and coloring.  Pewter mountings with a hand- painted, etched insert lid. Alligator handle and thumblift.  No damage or wear.  Made in Germany by Villeroy & Boch.
