Landscape scenes and architectural landmarks surround the body. Locations featured are Burg Katz, Burg Rheinfels, Koblenz, Boppard, Sankt Goar, Cologne, Bacharach, Kaub, Pfalz Castle, the Lorelei Fountain, and Rudesheim am Rhein. The base band displays grapes and vining with the front center stating "Rhein" in gold. The domed, turned pewter lid features intricately detailed banding.
