1 liter. 11" tall. Imperial German Eagle History Stein. This stein features the current version of the Imperial Eagle on the center front in richly detailed pewter relief. The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army. The side panels display former versions in hand-painted relief style for the years 1950 and 1888. Colorful Malt and Hops abound around the featured Eagles. The domed pewter lid displays intricately designed decorative banding.
